The Between Breaths blog is a sacred space where I speak to the chaos and calm spinning within and around me, in hopes to comfort and connect with others. Though we may walk unique paths, we all share struggles spanning similar themes of love and loss, gratitude and grief, contentment and calamity. No two journeys are the same, yet universally we long for full hearts, harmonious homes, and a world devoid of senseless suffering.
As for me, I could carefully curate a paragraph (or nine), attempting to control the lens through which I’m seen. Though it took many years, I finally found those efforts to be futile. So, I’ll keep the autobiography below brief and let you know me through my writing, which is perhaps a more accurate representation anyway.
I’m a mother of twins, a lover of trees and mountains and streams, and a child of God who looks at each sunrise and sunset as a poem from our creator reminding us that there’s always hope. I work full-time focusing on people and purpose, rather than details and duties, and I fill my “free” moments making memories with the souls I get to share this messy, beautiful life with. I have diagnoses that I allow to be details of my life but forbid from defining it. My dream of a reality where hurts are healed and all beings are safe and sacred is what drives my passions and deepens my pain.
You’re here for a reason, and so am I. What a beautiful moment we have right now, however long it may be, that our reasons have brought us together.
Thank you for meeting me between breaths. Stay as long as you like.
